Sweet and Sour Sauce  Cooking for 1 or 2  49825

2 tsp. cornstarch

1 tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar

1 can (8 oz.) pineapple chunks

1/4 c. water

1 tbsp. vinegar

1 tsp. soy sauce

1 tbsp. chopped green bell pepper

 

Combine cornstarch, sugar and juice from pineapple chunks in a saucepan. Stir in water, vinegar, and soy sauce. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add pineapple chunks and green pepper. Heat to serving temperature. Makes 1 1/4 cups.
