Pizza From Cooking for 1 or 2 49841

1/2 pkg. Active dry yeast

1/2 c. warm water (about 110 degrees)

1 ¼ c. flour

½ tsp. sugar

¼ tsp. salt

1 tbsp. oil

8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, grated

Additions, as follows

-----Pizza Sauce-----

½ c. tomato sauce

½ clove garlic, crushed

¼ tsp. oregano

¼ tsp. basil

-----Tomato Sauce-----

1 tbsp. olive oil

2 tbsp. chopped onion

1 c. peeled, seeded and chopped tomatoes (about 3 medium

Salt & pepper

 

Tomato Sauce Directions: Heat Oil to medium hot in a saucepan. Add onion and sauté until tender. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes. If desired, puree in a blender or food processor.

Variations:

Add ¼ tsp. basil or oregano before simmering

Add ½ clove garlic, crushed before simmering

Add 2 tbsp. chopped green bell pepper and sauté with onion.

 

Pizza Sauce Directions: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes.

Sliced fresh mushrooms

Sausage or ground beef, cooked and crumbled

Sliced pepperoni

Sliced green, yellow or red bell pepper

Sliced tomato

Sliced or chopped onion

Sliced olives

Anchovies

Pesto
