   ½ lb. Ground beef

   1/4 cup chopped onion

   ½ clove garlic, minced

   1 cup uncooked bow-tie pasta

   ½ cup sliced mushrooms

   chili powder and sugar

   2 cups chopped fresh spinach

 

 

   Dash oregano, basil,

   1 cup Tomato Sauce

   1 egg, beaten

   1/4 cup grated Romano or

   Parmesan cheese

 

   Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain fat. Add garlic,

   Tomato Sauce, seasonings and mushrooms. Simmer 30 minutes. Cook pasta in boiling

   salted water 10 minutes. Drain well. Combine cooked pasta with spinach and egg.

   Spread half of meat sauce in a baking dish. Add half of pasta mixture. Spread remaining

   meat sauce over pasta and top with remaining pasta mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake

   in a 3500 oven for 30 minutes. For 1 serving, refrigerate or freeze half, either before or

   after baking, for another meal.
